Using a Gmail account is no hassle. All you need is to use it properly and strongly condemn any form of abuse of your account such as spamming, disturbing other users and performing suspicious activities. While there’s a lot you can do with your Gmail account, the basic usage is to send an email, given here;
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Click ‘Compose’ or the + icon.
- Now enter the email address of the person you want to email in the ‘To’ field.
- Enter your Message Subject
- Enter email/message text that can be personal or professional.
- Click ‘Send’.
To create an effective message, you will find several other useful options besides the ‘Send’ button.
Here’s how you can use them;
- The ‘A’ button is used to change the look and feel of the email by changing the Font Size, color and other aspects of the text.
- The ‘Paperclip’ icon is for attaching files or attachments that you can select from your local device.
- Using the ‘Insert link’ button you can insert a hyperlink into the text.
- Then we have Emojis. Choose the one that suits your mood.
- Using the ‘Drive’ icon you can add files from Google drive
- To insert a picture in an email, you can use the ‘Image’ icon.
- And finally the ‘Lock and Timer’ icon which can be used to enable or disable security for your particular email. If you use it, the email will automatically expire after a specified period of time.
