Winder Police Department confirmed the good news, stating that Kaelyn Phillips had been found safe in North Carolina. Police Chief Jim Fullington expressed gratitude for the support from the community, Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Barrow County Sheriff’s office, Department of Natural Resources, and Fort Yargo State Park personnel.

Kaelyn Phillips was last seen around 1:30 a.m. on January 29 at Fort Yargo State Park Campground 2. Her parents reported that none of her personal items, including her phone, identification, medication, or clothing, were disturbed. The family raised concerns about her well-being, emphasizing that Kaelyn, described as one of the smartest and kindest individuals, did not appear to have left willingly, and they believed she was in imminent danger.
