Graham Saxton Vigrass (born 17 June 1989) is a male volleyball player from Canada. He was a part of the Canadian men’s national volleyball team for nine years until retiring in 2022. He competed in two Summer Olympic Games, in 2016 and 2020, as well as winning a bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games, a bronze medal in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League, and a gold medal at the 2015 Men’s NORCECA Volleyball Championship.

Graham Vigrass Biography

Richard and Sandy Vigrass raised Vigrass in Calgary, Alberta. His uncle, Don Saxton, was a member of Canada’s men’s national volleyball team in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and his cousin, Ben Saxton, competed in beach volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Vigrass began playing volleyball at the age of 13 and spent his high school years in Calgary with the Canuck Volleyball Club and Western Canada High School. He is now residing in and works as an Athlete. He is Canadian by nationality, and his current eating habits are a combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. He also worships all Gods and Goddesses and observes all festivals.

  • Vigrass played the 2012-13 season at the Centre Sportif in Gatineau, Canada, at the Team Canada National Excellence Program (NEP), previously the Full-Time Training Center (FTC), before joining with Arago de Sète in Sete, France, in 2013.
  • In 2015, he assisted Étoile Sportive du Sahel in winning the Tunisian Volleyball Cup before joining national team coach Glenn Hoag at Arkas Spor for the 2015-16 season. Vigrass joined Berlin Volleys in 2016, joining national teammate Steven Marshall.
  • In 2018, he joined the ONICO Warszawa squad, where he was joined by national colleague Sharone Vernon-Evans and former national team coach Stephane Antiga. He joined Jastrzbski Wgiel in 2019.   • Vigrass initially appeared on the national team as a member of Canada’s men’s junior national volleyball team in 2008. He contributed to the team’s silver medal at the 2008 Men’s Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship and qualification for the 2009 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship.
  • Vigrass joined the senior national “B” squad in 2010, before being promoted to the main national team in 2012. He was a part of the team that tied for seventh place in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship and helped the team earn bronze at the 2015 Pan American Games.
