The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government decided to cancel the winter break in the education ministry because there was not enough time to cover the entire curriculum in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa schools.
According to the announcement, working days for Term 2022-2023 are not enough to complete the course at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa schools. Therefore, it was decided to waive the winter break in the summer area of the province until there is any unusual change in weather conditions. Likewise, winter holidays in the winter region will also be reduced and winter zone schools will continue to be closed from January 1, 2023 until January 15, 2023.
The decision was made in the best interest of the student and to bridge the large gap in the number of school days.
Additionally, schools in the winter zone will reopen January 16, 2023. Here is the announcement:
