Exquisite Gloria Talbott, born February 7 in Glendale, California, started acting when she was a child. She later received the title of “Miss Glendale”, and she can be seen in brief roles in Sweet and Low-Down (1944) and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945).
Talbott married in 1949 after graduating from high school, had a son, and returned to acting when her marriage fell apart in 1953. Talbott began her acting career on stage before starring in three series. Western films from Allied Artists: Border City Rustlers (1953), Northern Patrol (1953) and Desert Chase (1952), all starring Virginia Gray and Kirby Grant.
Throughout his career, Talbott has appeared in many Western films, most notably The Oklahoman (1957), Cattle Empire (1958) and the Western comedy Alias Jesse James (1959), all all starring Bob Hope, Rhonda Fleming, and Wendell Corey.
In 1956, Sandy Sanders, a character actor and stuntman, married Gloria Talbott. Sanders is well known in the Western community as a horse and rope trainer, owner of a riding school, and even a riding instructor in his spare time. Talbott took a lot of horse knowledge from Sanders and developed into a skilled equestrian in her own right. But in 1965, the couple went through a painful divorce.
