Atlanta, Georgia –  is grieving the loss of Will Shields, a cherished member of the community and National Sales Manager at Effectv, who tragically passed away at the age of 51. His untimely death was announced through a heartfelt social media tribute that highlighted the depth of his connections beyond mere friendships.

Remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, William Paul Shields was not just a son but an individual whose impact reverberated across various spheres of life. A native of Atlanta and an alumnus of North Springs High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in consumer journalism from the University of Georgia.

Will’s life took a significant turn when, during a TEP fraternity event at an Auburn football game, he met his wife Susan, with whom he shared 25 years of unwavering love. His professional journey spanned notable roles in media sales, contributing his expertise to organizations like iHeart Media, Comcast, and ClearChannel. At the time of his passing, he held the esteemed position of National Sales Manager at Effectv.

His last Facebook post said “Take a step back and try not to worry about the little stuff…life goes fast!” So prophetic and true. A devoted member of Temple Beth Tikvah for two decades, Will actively contributed to community causes, notably leading the Backpack Buddies initiative and serving on the board. His devotion to nurturing relationships was unparalleled, evident in the love and dedication he bestowed upon friends and family.

The primary treasures of Will’s life were his children, Margot and Brody. Described as an amiable host, grill master, and the first to share a toast or a joke, Will’s humility, loyalty, and unwavering kindness will be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.

In a final act of generosity, Will Shields’ legacy continues through the selfless decision to donate several organs, echoing his altruism.

A graveside celebration honoring Will’s life will be held at Arlington Memorial Park on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Shiva arrangements will be observed at the home of Adam and Rachel Printz, with specific days and times to be announced.
