The UMass Dartmouth community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Eden Beck, a cherished student who tragically lost their life in a car accident on Saturday night. The fatal crash occurred on Moody Street in Waltham, resulting in Eden Beck’s untimely passing.
Law enforcement authorities reported that alongside Eden, two others were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. While these individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for assessment, they were discharged shortly after receiving medical attention.
At approximately 11:57 p.m., Waltham Police responded to a rollover incident near 211 Moody St. Upon arrival, officials found three individuals inside the vehicle. Sadly, one of the occupants was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the others were transported to hospitals and later released.

Expressing profound sorrow, Eden Beck’s sister, Skyla, shared a touching tribute: “Last night, my beautiful sister Eden passed away. Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out; we appreciate all the love shared with us. We ask for understanding and support as we navigate these difficult days. Rest in Paradise, beautiful.”
