DJ Stephen Twitch, a popular TV personality, set himself on fire on December 13, at the age of 40. Allison Holker, Stephen’s wife, paid tribute to him, saying he was the greatest husband and father because he never turned his back on his family, friends or community. Holker continued:
βTo say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his influence for good will continue to be felt. I’m sure there will never be a day that we don’t miss him.”
Holker said her spouse left the house without driving. Someone contacted police from a motel in Los Angeles, where they discovered Stephen with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His motives for suicide are still unclear, and more information is expected.

DJ Stephen Twitch Appears in Several TV Shows
Stephen, born September 29, 1982, started his career by starring in shows like The Wade Robson Project and So You Think You Can Dance. He also starred in Step Up Revolution, Blades of Glory and Hairspray. He is a longtime cast member of Fox’s reality show So You Think You Can Dance. After failing to make the Top 20 in season 3, he returned the following season, this time with Katee Shean. Stephen ended up coming in second.
Stephen and Katee return for the show’s fifth season. After his performances in many seasons in previous years, he has been selected as a member of the jury starting this year. DJ Stephen Twitch then co-hosted the popular Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings documentary series with his wife, Allison Holker. The main highlight of the series is weddings held at Disney-owned properties.
He rose to fame after appearing as a DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. After six years, he became the show’s co-executive producer. DJ Stephen has appeared in an episode of the ABC comedy Modern Family and in the romantic sitcom Freeform Young & Hungry as himself. He also presents The Real Dirty Dancing, which debuted on Fox earlier this year. He has starred in many online series and has a career that includes titles like Step Up 3D, Step Up Revolution, Step Up: All Time, Magic Mike XXL, etc. Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker, son Maddox Laurel Boss, daughter Zaia Boss and stepdaughter Weslie Renae Boss survived him.
