David Beck from San Antonio shot and killed outside North Side home

San Antonio, TX – In a tragic turn of events on Thursday morning, a fatal shooting took place on the North Side of San Antonio, Texas. David Beck, a resident of the area, lost his life during a confrontation with his landlord outside a residence located in the 1000 block of W. Huisache Avenue, near Blanco Road.

Reports from San Antonio police indicated that the dispute between Beck and his landlord quickly escalated around 8:30 a.m. The altercation, rooted in ongoing issues between the two, spiraled into a heated argument. Both individuals involved produced firearms, intensifying the confrontation. Regrettably, the situation ended with the landlord allegedly shooting Beck multiple times, fatally injuring him in the head.

Paramedics swiftly transported Beck to the hospital following the shooting, but despite efforts, he was later pronounced dead. Law enforcement has commenced an investigation into the incident, focusing on the circumstances that led to the tragic shooting. Key among their inquiries is determining whether the shooting could be construed as an act of self-defense.

“I just got the news David Beck was killed. I am so lost and sad right now. I have a hand full of friends from my life in San Antonio that would make it a point to come see me when they were in Austin.“I never said thank you for doing that. David the Jew was my friend and It was always a wonderful surprise when you and wife would come see me. RIP my friend, my brother. I will be there when we all get to say goodbye.”

Details surrounding the initial disagreement that sparked the altercation remain ambiguous at this stage of the investigation. Fortunately, no further injuries were reported, and the police have recovered both firearms involved in the incident.
