A Life Well-Lived
Daniel Michael Curtin Jr. entered this world on October 25, 1984, at the Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, California, born to parents Daniel and Frida Curtin. He spent his formative years in Newcastle, California, where he attended school in Auburn and ultimately graduated from Placer High School in 2003. His quest for knowledge led him to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he pursued his passion for Geology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. His love for the Silver State was so profound that he became a permanent resident of Reno, purchasing his first home there in 2010.
Growing up alongside his older sister, Marika (Curtin) Taylor, Daniel was deeply involved in sports from a young age. He was an active participant in baseball, basketball, and tennis during his childhood. Notably, he clinched the local Elk Lodge’s basketball free throw contest during his elementary school years, advancing to the state finals. In high school, Daniel was an integral part of Placer High School’s Varsity Men’s Tennis Team. Even as he grew older, his passion for sports remained unwavering, and he was a fervent supporter of the San Francisco Giants.
As time passed, Daniel’s love for the Sierra Nevada Mountains became increasingly pronounced, and he embraced the life of an outdoorsman, taking up fishing and hunting as his favorite pastimes. The serene beauty of rivers, lakes, rugged ridges, and picturesque valleys served as his refuge throughout the seasons.
You’ll recall #Rochester that the special investigator Celli found that Curtin gave the city… ahem, inaccurate legal advice throughout the lengthy delay between Daniel Prude’s death, and when the public learned about it. City Council called for him to be fired. Now he walks. https://t.co/FaqYR7Xy3X

His exceptional intellect allowed him to rise to the position of Machine Mechanic in the Maintenance Department, a feat that was nothing short of extraordinary. He brought a youthful spirit to his workplace, enhancing the camaraderie through work potlucks and his infectious enthusiasm.
