Cheryl Ann death news: Wife of Michael Barboza passes away in Westport, CT, Obituary

Cheryl Ann (Conforti) Barboza, aged 61, from Westport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6th, surrounded by her loving family.

She shared 43 years of a beautiful marriage with her devoted husband, Michael Barboza.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Jacqueline (Ferreira) Conforti and the late Edward Conforti.

Cheryl’s remarkable strength was drawn from the unwavering love and support of her husband, Michael, who stood by her side throughout their journey, despite the many challenges they faced. She had a passion for baking and delighted in keeping the cookie jar filled for her family. Cheryl found solace in the outdoors, basking in the sunlight while watching hummingbirds, and enjoyed spending leisure time playing games on her iPad. Above all, she cherished moments with her grandson, Demetri.

In addition to her husband and mother, Cheryl is survived by her children: Nichole Barboza (partner Stephen Botelho) of Fall River and Michael M. Barboza (partner Alexis McConnell) of Westport. She is also survived by her brothers, Carl Conforti of South Dartmouth and Gary Conforti of Fall River, along with her beloved grandson, Demetri Botelho, and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Souza, Dr. Mucciardi, and the entire staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital CCU for their exceptional care and support over the years, especially during Cheryl’s final moments.

A funeral service to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at 8:15 AM on Saturday, September 9th, at the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St. Chapel, located at 2064 South Main St., Fall River. This will be followed by a funeral service at 9:30 AM at St. John of God Parish on Brayton Ave, Somerset. Cheryl will be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, following the service. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on Friday evening, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
