Bristol, Tennessee – The community is grieving the untimely loss of Joshua Brinkley Wilson, a cherished business owner and devoted family man, who passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the age of 33.

Born on April 5, 1990, in Bristol, Tennessee, Brinkley was the beloved son of John Paul and Judie Faye Wilson. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the outdoors, Brinkley was not only a successful business owner but also a loving husband, father, brother, and son. His warmth and affection touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

Brinkley is survived by his loving wife, Kelsey Wilson, and their cherished children, Joshua Boone and Grace Marie. His memory will forever live on through his parents, John and Judie Wilson, and his siblings: Missy McClanahan and Pat, Tracy Koleber and Mike, Christina Dewar and Todd, Kacey Buchanan and Todd, Brittany Shortt and Tim, and brother Brentwood Wilson. The family circle also extends to his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Alessa Castle.

The community is invited to pay their respects on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Discovery Church, located at 242 Bethel Dr, Bristol, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., officiated by Pastor Dale Wright and Pastor Matt Korell. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, Virginia.

Honoring Brinkley as pallbearers are Brentwood Wilson, Tadd Clark, Justin Booher, Colton Ratcliffe, Peyton McClanahan, Mike Sluder, Colby Frost, and Oswaldo “Po Joe” Luciano. Friends who were touched by Brinkley’s life will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to The Boone and Grace Scholarship fund at First Bank and Trust, PO Box 1000, Abingdon, VA 24212, ensuring that Brinkley’s legacy of care and support lives on in the lives of others.
