Recent information indicates that around October 12, Kenwright emerged from intensive care following a tumor removal surgery. The 78-year-old had been in intensive care earlier due to complications arising from a procedure to eliminate a cancerous tumor from his liver. Hailing from Liverpool, Kenwright received his early education at Booker Avenue County Primary School, followed by his tenure at Liverpool Institute High School for Boys from 1957 to 1964.

During his time at the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys, Kenwright displayed his dramatic talents, participating in various school productions, notably portraying the character of Shylock in The Merchant of Venice on the stage of the Mount Street building, the predecessor to the current LIPA building.
