The Baton Rouge Community College community mourns the loss of alumnus Luke Guillot, who sadly passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. The shocking news has left his family, friends, and colleagues in deep sorrow, as confirmed through a heartfelt Facebook post that pays tribute to his beautiful soul.
Luke Guillot’s educational journey began at Baton Rouge Community College, where he dedicated himself to earning an Associate of Business, specializing in Business, from 2008 to 2010. His passion and dedication extended beyond academics, as he left a lasting impact on the baseball and softball fields, creating cherished memories with those who shared those moments with him.
Luke’s professional journey was marked by resilience and success. He started as a Pipe Fitter Helper at Performance Contractors before transitioning to the role of an Outside Sales Representative at Vida Paint & Supply in Lafayette, Louisiana. Over five years and nine months, from January 2011 to September 2016, he showcased his expertise in managing accounts and establishing new relationships in the Gulf Coast region.
Entrepreneurship beckoned, and Luke became a Partner at Ragin Renovations, where his skills in Sheetrock, electrical work, woodwork, tile installation, and various home improvement services shone. His commitment to excellence continued as he took on roles at Shannon Hardware Co. and later as Superintendent at D.R. Horton in Slidell, Louisiana.
Luke’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the Owner of Capital Home Construction LLC, showcasing his dedication to the construction industry. His recent role at Impetus, first as an Assistant Superintendent and later as Superintendent, demonstrated his exceptional performance and marked the pinnacle of his successful career journey.
The Baton Rouge Community College community remembers Luke Guillot not only for his academic achievements but also for his warm and spirited presence on the sports field and his notable contributions to the business and construction sectors. As we bid farewell to this remarkable alumnus, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
