Barbara Cruz, a resident of Tiverton, Rhode Island, was announced deceased by the Catholic Memorial Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Care in a heart-wrenching social media post.

The circumstances surrounding Barbara Cruz’s passing are deeply distressing, linked to a suspected murder-suicide incident that unfolded in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, on Saturday. Police responded to a distress call from a female relative at 162 Summer Street, initiating a wellness check. During a conversation with Barbara J. Cruz, the victim’s relative heard commotion before the call abruptly ended. Subsequent attempts to reconnect were unsuccessful.

Upon arriving at the residence, law enforcement discovered the tragic aftermath: Barbara Cruz, aged 77, and Omar Bradley, aged 72, both succumbed to gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed that Bradley, in a residence he shared with Cruz’s 84-year-old sister, perpetrated the shooting, taking the lives of both Cruz and himself.
