In a devastating turn of events, Aubrey Lynn Horner, a 37-year-old resident of Windber, Pennsylvania, and valued employee at Anthony’s Neapolitan Pizza, passed away unexpectedly in a tragic Saturday morning crash. The news of her untimely death was shared through a heartfelt social media post, reminiscing about shared memories and expressing condolences to her family.
The crash, as reported by the Pennsylvania State Police, occurred just before 9:30 a.m. on Horn Road in Paint Township. Aubrey, a backseat passenger in a 2007 Pontiac G7 driven by a 36-year-old Windber man, lost her life in the accident. Both she and a front-seat passenger, a 35-year-old male from Johnstown, were ejected from the vehicle as they were not wearing seatbelts.
The driver and the male passenger were rushed to Johnstown’s Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for medical attention. The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as they grapple with the loss of a beloved member.
Remembering Aubrey Horner: A Life Celebrated
Born on June 8th, 1986, Aubrey Lynn Horner was the cherished daughter of Lisa and Tom Singer. Known for her vibrant spirit and love for family, Aubrey enjoyed moments with her daughter Alaina Keim, family gatherings, shopping, and competitive games with her sisters and cousins.
A graduate of Windber Area High School in 2004, Aubrey furthered her education at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. Her professional journey included roles as a Support Specialist and Receptionist at Michaels Stores, service at City Hotel Bar & Grill in Northern Cambria, and employment at Claire’s and Anthony’s Neapolitan Pizza.
Aubrey’s impact extended beyond her professional life; she was a beloved sister to Hillary Singer and Chelsey Singer. A Celebration of Life service in her honor will be held at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber on Friday, December 8th, beginning at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Joe Brown officiating.
