Spartanburg, SC – The Coroner’s Office in Spartanburg County has disclosed the identity of the individual fatally shot, revealing that the victim was Ashlyn Quentin Fields, an 18-year-old resident of Spartanburg. Coroner Rusty Clevenger confirmed this information following an incident at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Saturday afternoon.
Upon arrival at the medical center, the Coroner’s Office immediately engaged with the sheriff’s office, which is actively investigating the preliminary circumstances surrounding the incident. Ashlyn Quentin Fields was pronounced deceased at 2:13 p.m., as determined by the medical examiner.
Coroner Clevenger reported that the victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center from Southport Road within the city. As the investigation progresses, the family will release further details concerning Ashlyn Fields’ obituary and funeral arrangements at a later time.
