Andy Haeck Obituary: First Federal Savings Bank manager of Indiana dies at 43

Osceola, Indiana – Andrew Lyn Jared Haeck, known affectionately as Andy, left this world unexpectedly on September 20, 2023, at the age of 43. Born on September 19, 1980, in Goshen to Roger and Debbie (Hepler) Haeck, he spent his life in Osceola, Indiana. On July 26, 2004, he exchanged vows with the love of his life, Lisa K. Faulstich, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Lisa Haeck shared Andy Haeck’s death news,

“Today I lost my best friend of 25 years my husband of 19 years and the father of my 14, 12, and soon to be 6 year old. The world lost a caring man whose goal was to bring laughter to anyone he met. My heart is completely broken.Andy passed away unexpectedly today, but I know he will be watching over the kids and I in heaven helping me be strong, cheering Anna Olyn and Reagan on at everything they do, and encouraging us all to live life with joy and laughter as he did! ❤️”

Andy leaves behind a legacy of love and joy. He is survived by his adoring wife, Lisa, and their three cherished children: Anna, Olyn, and Reagan. Andy’s love and influence extended to his mother, Debbie Haeck of Plymouth; step-mother, Mary Haeck of Ft. Wayne; brothers Nathan (Faithe) Haeck of Garden City, KS, and Brad Haeck of Plymouth; half-sister, Katie Haeck of Ft. Wayne; step-brother, Kyle Millbern of South Bend; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Kay Faulstich of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Jenny (Joel) Grindle of Plymouth; and brother-in-law Sam (Laura) Faulstich of Osceola. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews: Emma, Timothy, Landon, Lexi, Addi, Jonah, Teddy, Lainey, and Brynn. Andy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Haeck.

Graduating from Plymouth High School in 1999, Andy was celebrated as an Indiana High School Football Coach’s Association Top 50 Player and earned a spot on the Indiana North/South All-Star Team. He furthered his education at Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance. An avid sports enthusiast and music lover, he was a source of vibrant energy at Notre Dame Tailgates for 17 years, enjoyed numerous concerts, and was a dedicated member of the Pearl Jam Community, attending 40 shows. His love for sports carried into fatherhood, where he devoted countless hours to supporting his children in softball and football. Traveling and making memories with Lisa and their children brought him boundless joy.

For over 17 years, Andy worked as a manager and loan originator for First Federal Savings Bank, endearing himself to the community. His passion, dedication, and love impacted the lives of many. He will always be remembered for his warm-hearted nature, his eagerness to assist, and his infectious laughter and smile that lit up every room.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road, Mishawaka. Following the service, graveside services and burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends and well-wishers may pay their respects and share their condolences with the family from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Palmer Funeral Homes, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Additionally, a visitation will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions in memory of Andrew Haeck to be made to his children’s education fund.
