London, ON – The unexpected passing of Amra Mutapcic, from London, Ontario, has left her family, friends, and the community in profound shock and sorrow. News of her untimely demise circulated on social media platforms, prompting an outpouring of grief and heartfelt tributes to honor her memory.
Amra Mutapcic’s departure was confirmed through a somber Facebook post shared on November 22, 2023, by the Bosnian Canadian Islamic Centre in London, Ontario, stating, “Amra Mutapcic moved to the Hereafter when she was 18.” The precise cause of her passing has not been disclosed by her family.
Described as a compassionate and selfless young woman, Amra was widely known in her community for her boundless heart and unwavering dedication to helping others. Whether volunteering at local shelters, offering compassionate support to friends in need, or simply spreading joy with her warm smile, she embodied love and care in every aspect of her life.
Her exceptional empathy, a rare quality for someone her age, allowed her to deeply connect with others. Amra’s commitment to community service initiatives showcased her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate. Her acts of generosity knew no bounds, often surprising friends with thoughtful gestures, handmade gifts, and uplifting notes during challenging times.
Amra Mutapcic will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Survived by her father, Selim; mother, Azra; sisters, Alma, Emina, and Selma with husband Mirza and daughter Leyla; extended family members from the Mutapčić and Murselović families, along with numerous relatives, friends, and neighbors, her loss is deeply felt within the community.
A Jenaza prayer to honor Amra will take place on Friday, November 24th, after the Jumma Namaz at 1:30 PM at the Islamic Centre Mosque in Pond Mills. Her funeral will follow at 2:30 PM at the Islamic Cemetery of London located at 6100 White Oak Rd, London, ON N6L 1N4.
