Wikipedia about Alberta Basaglia, biography

Basaglia is a psychologist currently leading the Youth Engagement and Peace Culture Service of the City of Venice. Since 1980, she has also led the Center for Women and the Center for Anti-Violence. Although she was initially attracted to science and engineering subjects and was considered an engineer, she eventually chose to follow in her parents’ footsteps and study psychology. During her studies, she is reminded of her father’s legacy, which she finds difficult. However, she persevered and graduated alongside her father, Franco Basaglia, in front of an audience. The Basaglia Law, passed in 1978, opened the door to asylum and rehabilitation for people held in inhumane conditions. While this is an important step forward, Alberta believes the revolution is far from over. She believes that revolutions are happening and that they must constantly transform in order to achieve their goals.
