Adriel Favela News

Adriel Favela paved the way for up-and-coming musicians who are redefining traditional Mexican music for a new generation. The music video for the song “En Este Amor” by the Mexican-American singer, which debuted today on Remezcla, is now creating his own unique take on mariachi music. Favela also discussed the new direction of his upcoming EP and his future plans.

With the trap-filled hallways of “La Escuela No Me Gustó” starring Javier Rosas, Favela first rose to prominence in 2018. He was dormant for several years while searching for a new record label, right up. as he was paving the way for a new generation of local Mexican musicians. Favela signed with Universal Music Latino-owned Fonovisa Records in August 2021. Since then, Favela has demonstrated her versatility in traditional Mexican music while promoting the genre.

Favela told Remezcla, “I think it’s a reflection of so many years of work.” “Definitely learn from the negative encounters that have shaped the person I am today. We call it the “new wave,” but I truly believe it is the culmination of so much experience gained from failure, success, and unyielding submission to others.

Favela tries out mariachi for the first time in his new song, “En Este Amor.” He passionately sang about a one-way love on the street in a heartfelt ballad. Favela is doing everything he can to maintain the relationship, but unfortunately, his partner is not working.

He showed off another part of his talent by releasing one of the works that was most exposed to his displeasure. In a desert in Sonora, Mexico, the music video for Favela’s devastating national anthem was made.

While mariachi music may not be popular where Favela grew up in Sonora, Mexico, the performances he has witnessed feature prominent icons such as Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Vicente Fernández and Juan Gabriel, with others.

The first taste of Favela’s next EP, which will further explore mariachi music, is “Este Amor.” He wants his music and sound to grow with him as he grows older. The EP “will take you on a journey through time to the depths of my heart,” he further assured. “Perhaps everyone will, one way or another, meet an Adriel completely different from the one they are used to. It also promotes musical maturity.

Favela’s music has progressed significantly since he restarted his musical career with Fonovisa. Favela was featured on the song “Sitting In The Corner” by Mexican-American artists Cuco and Kacey Musgraves last year. With its unique advantages, Favela hopes to keep the Mexican culture in the region fresh.
