5 injured included three teens in shooting near United Center, Chicago police says

Chicago, Illinois – In a startling incident near the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, three teenagers were wounded in a shooting that occurred during a concert featuring popular rapper Rod Wave. Though no casualties were reported, the incident has prompted concerns among parents and guardians to check on their children who might have attended the event.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the shooting unfolded around 12:14 a.m. on the sidewalk within the 2000-block of West Monroe Street. Gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle, injuring three individuals.

Among the victims, a 15-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, while an 18-year-old man suffered a graze wound on his arm. Additionally, a 16-year-old boy was also shot in the leg. Fortunately, all three victims were transported to a hospital and are reported to be in good condition.

The Area Three detectives have initiated an investigation into the incident, but as of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting.
