Steps to register a new AT&T email address
- First, on a browser, go to current.com and click the ‘Sign In’ button.
- On the AT&T login page, scroll down and click ‘Create an account now’
- You must then choose a User ID for yourself, including a domain name other than ‘@currently.com’ or ‘@att.net’. Then you have to enter First Name, Last Name, Age and finally click ‘Continue’.
- You must then enter your mobile phone number, ZIP Code and alternate email to secure your account; Click ‘Send Code’.
- Enter the code you received and click ‘Continue’.
- Enter the information required to create your new AT&T email address and password.
- Fill out profile information along with security questions and answers.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to create your new AT&T account.
AT&T email login process
Signing in to your AT&T account isn’t rocket science and only takes a few steps. Here are the simple steps to make AT&T email account login successful:
- First, go to the att.net email login page
- Enter AT&T User ID
- Enter password
- Finally, click ‘Login’

How do I sign in to an AT&T email account on a third-party email client like Outlook?
Most AT&T users tend to use their email accounts by configuring them to Outlook. You can also set up your AT&T account on Outlook if you manage all your email in one place.
So, if you’re setting up your AT&T email for the first time on Outlook, you need to follow these steps:

- Launch Outlook, and then click File > Add Account.
- Next, select Manual Setup or Additional Server Types.
- Choose one of POP or IMAP.
- Enter the required user information:
- Enter your name as you want it to be visible to others
- Enter your full AT&T email address.
- Then fill in the Server Info:
- Account Type – Choose IMAP or POP3
- Incoming mail server – Enter imap.mail.att.net (IMAP) or inbound.att.net (POP3).
- Outbound server – Enter smtp.mail.att.net (IMAP) or outbound.att.net (POP3).
- Enter login information:
- Username – Enter your full email address.
- Password – Enter or paste your secure mail key.
- Check ‘Remember password’ and ‘Require login with Secure Password Authentication’.
- Click ‘More Settings’.
- Enter Outgoing Server information:
- Check My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Use the same settings as my incoming server.
- Finally, you must complete Advanced Information:
- Incoming mail server – Enter 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection – Select SSL.
- Outgoing Server – Enter 465 (IMAP and POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection – Select SSL.
- Click OK and then click Next.
- Outlook will check and validate your account information. If everything passes, select Finish.
AT&T mail sign-in problem
If you’ve successfully signed in to your AT&T account, consider yourself lucky as many users have had trouble logging in. - Choose from ‘Security Question’ and ‘Temporary Password’
- Follow the onscreen instructions to change your AT&T email account password.
Resetting your AT&T account password is helpful if you can’t log in because you entered incorrect credentials or if your AT&T account has been hacked.
