Terreton, ID – The community mourns the tragic loss of Wyatt Billman, 23, who recently passed away in a devastating car accident on Monday, December 4, 2023. The news of his passing has left family and friends reeling, prompting an outpouring of condolences across social media platforms.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. on State Highway 33 near milepost 57 in Sage Junction, Jefferson County. Wyatt, driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 33, was involved in a head-on collision with a 2018 Volvo semi-truck traveling westbound, towing a trailer. The semi-truck was being driven by a 24-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky.

The only thing I want is Wyatt and he can’t even be here to lift me back up like he does.Thank you so much for all the phone calls, texts, food, and visits.“We are so blessed to have amazing people around us. I might not reply to everyone’s messages but know that I’m grateful for them. I’m going to take this time to be with my little boy and grieve. Do me a favor and go hug your loved ones tight while you can”
Tragically, Wyatt Billman, not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene, as confirmed by Idaho State Police (ISP) reports.
The Kentucky resident operating the semi-truck, however, was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Details about the severity of the injuries sustained remain undisclosed.
The accident led to a traffic disruption lasting approximately three hours in the region. Effective coordination between Jefferson County officials, the Idaho Transportation Department, and Idaho State Police was instrumental in managing the aftermath of the incident.
The family is yet to release Wyatt Billman’s obituary, and friends and well-wishers are gathering in support and remembrance during this difficult time.
