Dancing Queens, a new reality TV show starring six dancer friends, will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Pooja Mehta, a dancer and makeup artist, is one of the members of the cast. Bravo’s newcomer, 37, also has her own cosmetics store in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pooja got into a fight with her husband Shimon Himovich during the Dancing Queens trailer, who deemed her dance attire inappropriate. In response, she jokingly asked him if she should wear a “full-body astronaut suit”. In season 1 of the new show, the CEO will be shown running her company as well as pursuing her passion for dance.

Pooja Mehta, from Dancing Queens, will be a new face to Bravo audiences. Her personal and professional life will be examined in the reality show. Pooja, of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a Hindu and is married to Shimon Himovich, a diamond dealer. In 2015, the couple got married according to Jewish rites. Dan and Yoavi, their two children, were raised in both Hindu and Jewish traditions.
Pooja’s parents are doctors, but they never pressured her to follow in their footsteps. The Dancing Queens star is a lifelong dancer and is also interested in the cosmetic profession. Therefore, she chose to attend JP Fleurimon, a fashion and beauty school in Paris, France. Pooja founded her own beauty company, Makiaj, in 2010, which employs more than 30 artists. Shimon, her husband, founded Finer Jewelry in 2022, right next to Makiaj. According to her Bravo profile, the reality TV actress identifies herself as a “rebel” from a family of doctors. It goes on to say that the next reality show’s competitor has a thriving company.
It mentions that she is not the only dancer in the family and goes on to say:
“Dancing is a family affair for Pooja, her mother and her sister, who all dance with Colette’s former professional partner, Kristijan Burazer.” Formerly a rhythm champion, she’s just turned to Latin to battle her family and prove that she can win in their region too.
Pooja will showcase her abilities in Dancing Queens while juggling her business and home life.
When is Dancing Queens out on Bravo?
Dancing Queens premieres on Bravo on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET. This isn’t your typical competition program, as the team will practice for the dance championship in the ballroom with their individual professional partners. Despite their personal troubles, the women will follow their passions.
According to the official comprehensive description of the program:
“The series follows a group of women as they spend their time and money vying for the top spots, respect, and recognition in the world of Pro-Am dance competitions.” “Pro-Am pairs amateur dancers with professional partners.”

The reality TV show’s cast will also feature Colette Marotto, Donnie Burch, Galle Benchetrit, Leonie Biggs and Sabrina Strasser, in addition to Pooja Mehta. Dancing Queens will premiere new episodes on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
