The Bachelor is returning to ABC with a familiar face looking for love. To make that wish come true, 30 suitors will compete in the dating show for a chance to win the Last Rose and Zach Shallcross’s heart. Mercedes Northup, a 24-year-old nonprofit case manager who works four jobs and is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, is one of the women expected to take part in the episode. The Bachelor season 27 will begin on ABC on Monday, January 23, at 8 p.m. ET.

Several women will be vying for the attention of Zach Shallcross, the newest bachelor to qualify for the upcoming season of the ABC dating show. Mercedes Northup is one of the women who will be featured on the show. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in general studies. While she currently has four jobs in a row, her career began as a part-time assistant for Meets n Moore, followed by a transportation specialist position with Uncommon James.
After working as a social media marketing intern with BRND House, the cast of season 27 of The Bachelor is now a food service worker in North Italia.

ABC describes the nonprofit operator as a “joyful, fun-loving woman” who is eager to spread her wings. It says she works hard to support herself but is willing to prioritize her love life. She is very close to her mother, whose approval is essential to everyone she brings home. She had two significant relationships that ended when she realized they weren’t meant to be.

“Mercedes loves hanging out in town in Nashville, but she also loves staying home and cuddling her dog. She said she was looking for a partner who could make her laugh and someone she could invite to Sunday family dinner.”
Mercedes loves giving and receiving gifts from people she cares about, and she also loves to drive with the windows down. Her pastime is displaying pigs at the Iowa State Fair, and she prefers ordering to cooking. Aly, Anastasia, Ariel, Bailey, Becca, Brianna, Brooklyn, Cara, Cat, Charity, Christina, Davia, Gabi, Genevie, Greer, Holland, Jess, Kaity, Katherine, Kimberly, Kylee, Lekha, Madison, Olivia L., Olivia M., Sonia, Vanessa, Victoria J. and Viktoria E. join her in season 27.
