Who Is Luna Contreras From “Snack vs. Chef”?

Netflix’s new food contest series Snack vs. Chef features 12 creative chefs fighting for a $50,000 cash prize. Luna Contreras used to be one of the competitors on the reality TV show. On her Instagram feed, the talented chef identifies herself as a “brown transgender girl” from Portland, Oregon. She is a proud transgender woman and openly expresses her support for the LGBTQ+ community on social media.

Luna announced her participation in Snack vs. Chef in an Instagram post, writing:

“As a transgender woman, my grandmother would be delighted.” I’m so glad I did my best to continue to raise awareness for transgender youth and represent Portland! “

She claims that the cooking show was filmed in Stamford, Connecticut, during the outbreak.

All about Luna Contreras’ experience as a chef

Luna Contreras has spent most of her career working at several restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to her LinkedIn profile. Luna worked as a kitchen assistant at Fonda in the San Francisco Bay Area after completing a one-year internship at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California.

She joined DF Mexico as a co-executive chef after three years at Fonda. Luna became a chef at Mamacita restaurant in 2009, and she quickly rose to prominence in the culinary world. Luna’s abilities are also appreciated at Padrecito, a restaurant where she worked after Mamacita. Luna started working at Nightingale in Portland in 2020 but quit after 8 months. She then chose to become the head chef at Chelo, a popular restaurant in Portland. Luna also serves on the board of directors of Family Meals, a nonprofit organization.

While Luna has touched many hearts with her compassion and cooking skills in Portland, she’s now set to do it again by starring on Netflix’s cooking show, Snack vs. Chef.

In addition to Luna, Hari Cameron, Christian Gill, Kristopher Edelen, Danny Kievit, Sandy Dee Hall, Clara Park, Lauryn Bodden, Ali Manning, Lauren Jude, Scottish Francis and Kevin Gregory will compete in the new Netflix show, Snack vs.

According to the official synopsis:
