Cadillac Williams, a former NFL player and coach, met his wife, Evan Christina Davis, at Auburn State University during their freshman year. Williams made the huge move of proposing to Christina after nine amazing years together. This charming couple has been married for 12 years and is the proud parents of two amazing children, Cole and Cuinn. Carnell Lamar Williams, alias Cadillac Williams, was born on April 21, 1982, in Gadsden, Alabama.
Furthermore, Williams graduated from Etowah High School in Attalla, Alabama. William went on to get a sociology degree and play football at Auburn State University. In the 2005 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That same year, he was voted the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2007, he tore two patellar tendons, necessitating surgery and extensive rehabilitation. Williams subsequently became an unrestricted free agent and signed as a backup with the St. Louis Rams. Finally, he chose to leave football and pursue a coaching career.

During their first year at Auburn State University, Carnell Williams met the love of his life, Evan Christina Davis. Williams proposed to Christina after nine years of joyful marriage on a romantic New Year’s Eve dinner cruise in sunny Florida. The pair married on July 2, 2011, in the lovely city of Decatur, Georgia. Furthermore, the wedding took place in the morning in a gorgeous church on Agnes Scott College’s campus.
Evan Christina states,
“Carnell and I are college sweethearts, so we should have wed on a college campus.”
The couple is now happily married and has two great boys, Cole and Cuinn. At the same time, Evan Christina enjoys posting photos of her adorable family on her public Instagram. Williams’ Twitter account is filled with photographs of his beautiful wife and charming children. Christina has flourished as an outstanding educational administrator.
Cadillac Steps Down as Auburn Coach
Following his coaching career, Williams accepted a position as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, in 2016. He subsequently became the running backs coach for IMG Academy’s newly formed IMG White football team in Bradenton, Florida. In 2018, he became the Birmingham Iron’s running backs coach in the Alliance of American Football. In January 2019, Williams was appointed as Auburn’s running backs coach by head coach Gus Malzahn.
Following his outstanding statistics, Williams was retained as running backs coach by new head coach Bryan Harsin. Auburn sacked Bryan Harsin on October 31, 2022, and appointed Williams interim head coach. Furthermore, he defeated Texas A&M 13-10 in his debut game as a head coach on November 12, 2022. Williams ended the 2022 regular season as interim head coach with a 2-2 record.
When Hugh Freeze was appointed permanent head coach on November 28, he kept him as an assistant. Finally, William made the daring decision to resign from Auburn on January 11, 2024, claiming family as the cause.
