Ursula Andress’s career began in 1955. She was successful and acted in The Sins of Casanova in 1955. She signed with Columbia Pictures in March 1956, however she did not make any films for them. She was crowned Miss World Trade in 1956. After marrying John Derek in 1957, she returned to cinema in 1962 in an episode of Thriller, “La Strega” (1962), opposite Alejandro Rey. Andress then went on to play the female lead in Elvis Presley’s musical, Fun in Acapulco, in 1963.
In 1965, Andress co-starred with Marcello Mastroianni in the science fiction film The 10th Victim. She returned to Hollywood in 1966 to portray George Peppard’s love affair in The Blue Max, a painting about World War I. Furthermore, she directed and featured in her second Seven Arts film, Once Before I Die (1966), which was filmed in the Philippines.
