Today the world lost a great man and I lost a good friend. Tommy Moody and I just had a conversation over the weekend and he was saying how Ahmed Akram and Tomas Peribonio deserved to be in the USC Athletic Hall of Fame. The hall of fame was Tommy’s baby and it was a responsibility he did not take lightly.I will miss hearing his voice every time the Gamecock Baseball team takes the field.Rest in Peace, my friend.
A product of A.C. Flora High School and the University of Southern California, Moody’s athletic prowess and passion for sports remained integral to his identity throughout his life. Beyond his sports career, he spent 28 years contributing his talents to General Mills in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina, before embarking on his impactful journey in radio broadcasting for the Carolina Gamecocks from 2000 onwards.
