His Boston career began in 1969 when he joined WSBK-TV 38, becoming the host of Boston Bruins Hockey and The Tom Larson Show. For 12 impactful years, Larson contributed to WSBK-TV 38, concurrently serving as the station’s Public Affairs Director.

From 1981 to 1988, Larson held the position of Sports Director at WHDH radio, showcasing his dedication to the Boston sports scene. In 1983, he was honored as “Boston’s Best Sportscaster” by Boston Magazine, solidifying his legacy in the industry. Larson continued to captivate audiences through numerous special presentations and regular shows on NESN since 1988, notably contributing to Bruins-centric programs like Bruins 70’s Snapshot and Bruins Banner Years.
