Bachelor Nation star Susie Evans recently spoke out about her dating life following her split from The Bachelor’s Clayton Echard. During an appearance on Us Weekly’s Here for the Right Reasons podcast, the reality star admitted to having moved from Echard but also said she wouldn’t be on Bachelor in Paradise.
Susie says she finds it interesting to see how many different love relationships can be done on the beach. While she first said it was a great way to meet people, her time on The Bachelor and watching season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise convinced her otherwise.
Susie stated:
“It’s amazing that you can feel everything. But after being on a show this season, I realized that ‘This is my nightmare’. You’re on the beach, wearing a bikini, and you’re thinking, ‘No, thank you [to being] on camera in a swimsuit ever.’”

Susie also says she has great coping techniques to deal with the “temptations” the show presents on a daily basis. However, she did not want such freedom of registration. The Bachelor candidate also admits that he is currently focusing on himself. Susie Evans was introduced to viewers on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor (season 26). Despite the fact that their love ended tragically in the series, the pair admitted to getting back together in the show’s reunion episode. However, the former couple announced their divorce in September 2022.
She said on the podcast:
“Right now, I’m completely focused on me.” I put a lot of effort and time into my relationship, and I really care about Clayton, who I believe is also going through a lot of hardship. So I’m extremely pleased to be able to focus on myself right now.”
Susie also admitted to being ready to date. The celebrity continued:
“I am totally interested in dating. I was invited on a date yesterday, and immediately I broke into a sweat and thought, ‘I don’t know if I can do this.’ Not because I’m not ready, but because dating is scary.”
The Bachelor Nation star also admitted to breaking up with Clayton due to incompatibility. She highlights the couple’s inability to agree on what they want from their partner or from themselves, leading to them opting for a divorce.
On the other hand, Susie says she wouldn’t change anything about her time on the ABC dating show. Susie responded when asked if she’d like to date on Bachelor Nation:
“So I just have to make sure I really, really, really like that person before even thinking about going on a first date, because I believe it matters when people want to talk about it.”
She revealed that she has big plans for the future, one of which is becoming a documentary filmmaker, and that she is looking for a partner who can help her achieve that goal. The Bachelor candidate also aspires to a lifestyle where she can “have great adventures and meet great people.”
“I need someone who wants to see me succeed and wants to be my biggest fan, cheerleader, and support me emotionally all the time because that’s a big ambition.”
Despite her reservations after watching her part, she thanked the dating show for allowing her to meet some amazing women and show her admiration for them. Susie also informed US Weekly that she had lost contact with Clayton. However, she did describe how she received an amusing letter from her ex-boyfriend about a month ago appreciating their relationship and the close friendship they experienced while together.
