Stratford School computer science teacher Vernon Marcaida dies unexpectedly

San Francisco CA –  The passing of Vernon Marcaida, a Computer Science Teacher at Stratford School, has left the community in mourning. Vernon, who hailed from San Francisco, California, departed on Friday, December 8, 2023, leaving a heartfelt message from loved ones indicating a deep sense of loss.

The cause of his untimely passing was not disclosed in the post shared on Saturday, echoing the sentiments of heartache and longing to reunite someday for shared moments of board games and camaraderie in the virtual world of ‘Animal Crossing’.

Vernon Marcaida dedicated himself to a remarkable educational journey, graduating from Archbishop Riordan High School in 2004. He pursued higher education at various institutions, including City College of San Francisco, Academy of Art University, Skyline College, and San Francisco State University, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts in 2018.

Throughout his life, Vernon ventured into diverse roles and professions. From teaching assistance and coaching at Archbishop Riordan High School to various roles in communications, student support services, and entertainment, he showcased a broad spectrum of skills and passions.
