It is with deep sadness that we fly our flags at half mast, as mark of respect for our much-loved colleague Steve Fellows who passed away on Friday evening following a short illness.Steve, 42, joined Audlem Fire Station as an on-call firefighter in June 2003, was promoted to crew manager in July 2012 and received his 20-year Long Service and Good Conduct medal earlier this month.He was an excellent firefighter, a much-loved colleague and passionate about supporting his local community. Until his brain tumour diagnosis, he balanced 20 years of dedicated on-call service with a busy family life and a successful joinery business. Steve will be very greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
