- Click the ‘Mail’ icon in the top right corner after logging into your Yahoo account.
- In the left column, scroll down and you will see all the folders that you have created; Click the one you want to delete. Here I clicked on the one that I want to delete i.e. Tasks.
- You will see all the emails the folder has; you need to delete all of them before you can delete the folder. If you don’t delete the email, you can’t delete the Yahoo folder. So select all the emails of the folder and click ‘Delete’.
- Now click on the arrow button of the folder and you will see some options click on the one that says ‘Delete folder’.
- With this, your Yahoo folder has been successfully deleted.
Delete Folders In Yahoo Mail Basic Version
If you’re still using the Basic version, here’s how to delete a folder in it, make sure you’ve moved all important messages out of the folder you’re going to delete.
- Go to the ‘My Folders’ section in the left column and select the folder you want to delete.
- Click ‘Edit’ next to ‘My Folder’.
- In the ‘My Folders’ section, click ‘Delete’ next to the folder name.
- Press ‘Ok’ to confirm
