Stabbing in Stratford today: 16 year old boy charged in Ontario for attempted murder

Stratford, Ontario – A shocking incident unfolded at Stratford District Secondary School, located at 428 Forman Avenue in Stratford, on Monday, September 11, 2023. The Stratford Police Service responded to a report of an attack that took place in the afternoon within the school premises.

According to reports, a 15-year-old student was assaulted earlier in the day while walking through the school’s hallways. The alleged perpetrators, two students aged 13 and 14, are believed to be responsible for the assault.

Fortunately, the victim sustained only minor injuries as a result of the incident. On Tuesday, September 12, one of the juvenile suspects, who was 14 at the time, was located and taken into custody. The investigation has led to the determination that the accused is guilty of assault, and a court date for the trial has been scheduled for October 19, 2023. The whereabouts of the other juvenile suspect, who is now 13 years old, remain unknown as of now.

The identities of both the victim and the suspects have not been disclosed to the public by the authorities at the time of this report.

The Stratford Police Department has assured the community that the incident is currently under active investigation, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
