In less than a day, Food Network will launch a new baking contest called Stab That Cake. The next reality TV series will feature three skilled bakers who will put their abilities to the ultimate test. Stab That Cake will premiere on Cooking Channel on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 9pm ET/8pm CT. Three bakers will place their actual cakes next to the real stuff in the grocery store to see if they can outdo the real thing.
The official synopsis of Stab That Cake is as follows:
“Three Bakers compete to see if their surreal cakes can fool two pairs of Stabbers (pastry enthusiasts) at a grocery store, where they must decide which is the real bread and which is the hidden bread.”
Participants will be challenged to wrap their cakes in edible plastic in the show’s first episode, titled Is That a Fruit Cake? Just days before the first episode of Stab That Cake presented by Jocelyn Delk Adams and John Henson airs on the Cooking Channel, here’s everything you need to know about episode one.
The first episode of Stab That Cake will air on Cooking Chanel on December 30, 2022.
The official synopsis for the first episode, titled Is That a Fruit Cake, reads:
“In Round 2, presenters John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams challenged living bakers to wrap their cakes in edible plastic to confuse bakers by recreating real cakes. their knowledge of the products seen in the production department.”
Cake lovers have to choose items that they find to be genuine and cakes that are super realistic. The first episode will air on Friday, December 30 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. With a valid YouTube TV subscription, viewers without cable can watch the episode live.
According to the program’s press release:

John Henson is a famous comedian, actor and television presenter. He hosted the Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship and was a co-host of ABC’s Wipeout. John started acting when he was 8 years old.

Jocelyn didn’t realize she had a talent for baking until she was in her twenties. Her grandmother inspired her company, Grandbaby Cakes, and she offers traditional recipes with a modern twist. She also appeared on Santa’s Baking Blizzard and Beat Bobby Flay as a judge.
