In a devastating incident, Sotir Markoff, a 20-year-old resident of Buckeystown, Maryland, lost his life following a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Buckeystown Pike (Route 85) and Executive Way. The incident occurred on October 18 at around 1:36 p.m., prompting a swift response from deputies of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO).
The collision, described as a serious accident, resulted in one fatality and critical injuries to another individual. Sotir Markoff was rushed by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. FCSO deputies have ensured that all next of kin notifications have been made in the wake of this heartbreaking event.
The occupants of the second vehicle, the driver, and the passenger, were transported to Frederick Health Hospital. While their injuries were deemed non-life threatening initially, the passenger was later transferred to a trauma facility for further treatment, underlining the severity of the situation.

Simultaneously, the second vehicle, traveling south on Buckeystown Pike, intended to proceed straight through the intersection with Executive Way. Tragically, the two vehicles collided at the crossroads, resulting in this fatal accident.
