Darren Beachley shared a post on fb:

Just learned of the passing of friend and former bandmate Terry Baucom. I had met Terry many years before I ever worked with him, He was the original banjo player with Boone Creek and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. When I got the opportunity to fill in with Doyle in 2005 Terry and I became friends and later in 2005 when I joined Quicksilver, Terry became a friend and really challenged me as a musician. He would tell me to work more and I worked harder at music than I had ever worked. Working with Terry and Doyle made me become a true professional. Terry’s banjo playing had drive and an attitude, Never flashy, never about himself more about the unit.. One of the funniest people with a sense of humor all his own .
