While many people do not seem to be very familiar with her name, they are certainly familiar with the allegations against her. This is the ex-wife of Gary Coleman, who starred in the movie Different Brushes. In 2007, they were married for less than a year before divorcing.
By all accounts, their relationship wasn’t the best and things only got darker from there. There were a number of accusations made after Coleman’s death, implying that she was somehow involved.
Coleman sought an injunction against Shannon after their divorce. A lot of terrible things have to happen for this to happen. He fell at home in 2010 and suffered a brain bleed, that’s why he passed away. Since then, many have assumed that he was not simply pushed; rather, he fell. Worse still, Shannon was the target of much criticism.
Coleman changed his will when he married her so that she would inherit his estate upon his death. However, when they divorced, all should have gone. Shannon returned after his death and asserted that because they were still legally married and living in Utah, common-law unions were legal.
She still argues that she should receive everything he owned when he died, even though they were legally divorced and ended the marriage. She wouldn’t let go, and in the end, the case ended up in court.
Furthermore, a judge later ruled that she would not receive any compensation due to Coleman’s death and that they were never legally married. In addition, he said he believed it was in her interest to assert that she should still be considered Coleman’s wife and that she was acting only in her own self-interest.
First and foremost, Coleman stated that despite being married he was still a virgin during a press conference while they were still together. She was rumored to have had an intimate relationship with another man and told everyone that she and Coleman slept in different rooms. Coleman eventually filed the restraining order after they split less than a year after their marriage to keep her away from him.
Coleman’s friends freely admitted that they had witnessed her beating him, even in front of other people. All of this presents a fundamentally different picture from what she claims to have said during the trial. At the end of the day, the judge gave her nothing. However, she also undergoes a slight change. She’s had a few small roles here and there over the years, but her dream of becoming a major Hollywood actress never came true.
Even after all that’s happened, it doesn’t seem like they’ve come to fruition yet. In fact, the judge made it clear that she wanted to inherit Coleman’s fortune because she wanted to be an actress, believing the public would link the two of them together and boost her popularity.
