Ryan Hollins has played professional basketball since 2006. He began his professional basketball career after being picked by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2006 NBA draft. Hollins was the 100th NBA pick from UCLA . He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks on January 16, 2009, but quickly became a free agent. On August 3, 2009, he was offered a three-year $7 million contract by the Minnesota Timberwolves, which Maverick’s offer could not match. On July 26, 2010, he was transferred from the Timberwolves to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was released by the Cavaliers on March 20, 2012 and joined the Boston Celtics on March 23, 2012. He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 23, 2012. Hollins signed with the Sacramento Kings on September 18, 2014. He joined the Memphis Grizzlies on September 28, 2015, but was exempted after seven pre-season games.
