Born on March 16, 1965, in Pittsburgh to Ron and Carol Russitano, Ron was a superhero in every sense from the very beginning. He exuded boundless enthusiasm for life and pursued his passions with unmatched vigor. Known as the proud owner of Phantom of the Attic since 1986 and an Athletic Commissioner, Ron was not just a businessman but a builder of communities, earning his place as a true legend in the heart of Pittsburgh.

“The store will be closed Friday September 22nd and Saturday September 23rd to honor Ron’s passing.Ron’s viewing will be Friday from 2pm to 8pm at Slater’s Funeral Home, 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220”.

Ron’s presence was marked by his generosity, warmth, and a genuine kindness that left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. A master prankster, he kept the spirits high with his infectious humor. He maintained an unwavering excitement for life’s simple joys, embracing every moment and living a fulfilling life.

He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his children, Layla, Karly, and Vito, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Ameliana, Sofia, and Zephyr. Ron is also survived by his loving parents, Ron and Carol, his sisters Kim and Kristen, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends, including honorary brother Jay, who were a significant part of his life’s journey.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 22, from 2 PM to 8 PM at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 23, at 12 PM at SS. Simon and Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 1607 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Burial will remain a private affair for the family.
