“Rico to the Rescue” Season 1 Is Set To Released On HGTV

The first season of HGTV’s brand new reality series Rico to the Rescue will begin on January 7, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. On December 13, 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery network issued a press statement confirming this. Watt Pictures’ next series will show host and builder Rico León saving homeowners and needy families in Denver, Colorado, from dodgy contractors by resolving discrepancies between the customer and the builder and changing the horror project into a dream residence.

The WBD network originally teased the announcement of Rico to the Rescue in a press release in June of last year. Loren Ruch, Senior Vice President of Programming & Development at HGTV, allegedly said at the time:

“Nobody wants to be trapped in a house that isn’t functioning for them because the renovation wasn’t done correctly. When we need a remodeling rescue, we all want someone honest and trustworthy like Rico to come up at our door.”

What to anticipate in the newest Rico to the Rescue episode

Rico will meet a devastated Denver couple whose relationship with the contractor has deteriorated after more than a year owing to an unfinished restoration of their property in the first episode, which will debut this weekend. The host is then confronted with a dilemma, which he attempts to resolve. Rico, on the other hand, fails due to the builder’s weak project management and communication abilities.

Rico enlists the support of his skilled team, which includes designer Poonam Moore and head estimator Matt Plowman, to bring the project back on track, handle scheduling difficulties, and construct a stunning basement remodel with a nursery, master bedroom, and bathroom. Poonam also gets the assistance of her local suppliers and shocks the family with an unexpected kitchen remodel. Rico will make restitution for other customers who have been let down by their contractors as the season develops.

Who is the Rico to the Rescue host?

Rico León has set out to rescue Denver residents from the webs of cruel contractors, inspired by his parents’ experience with a dishonest contractor. He hopes that by doing so, he may help the crisis-affected families who are experiencing building delays in their dream houses. Rico has been involved in the home-owning profession since his early twenties, according to an HGTV news story. He started his work in the plumbing industry and eventually opened an emergency repair branch there. He presently owns two profitable construction and repair businesses in the Denver area. The host stated his experience:

“I swiftly rose through the ranks and found my brain was geared to draft contracts and assist homeowners in protecting themselves.”

During his 12-year career, Rico has signed, sold, developed, and supervised over $350 million in real estate, construction, residential & commercial development, and roofing, according to his official website. Furthermore, he is said to be the first Latino host to appear on HGTV.

Rico to the Rescue

Rico describes his mission and slogan as follows:

“I’m an advocate for homes coping with a contractor dilemma since my own parents were taken advantage of during a remodeling. When I get a request for assistance, my aim is to settle the issue between the homeowner and the house builder and to go above and beyond to ensure the project’s success.”
