Rico Andrews, 21-year-old, killed after being injured by gunshot in battersea shooting

Police in south London are intensifying efforts to apprehend the assailant responsible for the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Rico Andrews. The incident occurred last week on Shuttleworth Road near Battersea Park.

Andrews was fatally shot, and despite emergency services providing immediate aid, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Metropolitan Police have notified his next of kin and are extending support through specialized officers. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the chest following a post-mortem examination.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, expressed condolences to the victim’s family and urged witnesses to come forward. The police have called for any individuals with phone or doorbell footage related to the incident to assist in their ongoing enquiries.
