An accomplished musician, French-American Rick Dufay is well known. Dufay was brought on as Aerosmith’s replacement guitarist after Brad Whitford left the group, and he quickly rose to become one of the group’s most beloved musicians. He is largely credited with saving the group through a tough time in the early 1980s.
He played a key role in the band’s reunion with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, the band’s lead and rhythm guitarists, after a long disbandment. Dufay suggests that the band seek the help of former member Brad Whitford to save them, which could make their situation worse.

His second album “Written In Stone” featured Aerosmith’s “Written In Stone.” When his tenure with Aerosmith ended, Dufay’s career never fully recovered. His reputation hasn’t improved, except for some self-published covers and collaborative projects with other artists.
