Radoslav Nesterovic started his basketball career in 1992 and retired in 2011. After joining Partizan in 1992, he started playing professionally. He became a Greek citizen in 1993 and joined PAOK. Before joining the NBA, he played for Union Olimpija in 1995 and Kinder Bologna in 1997. He joined the NBA after being selected in the 1988 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After four full seasons, he was offered a $12 million deal, but he turned it down and joined the San Antonio Spurs. He joined the Spurs in 2003 and won the NBA championship with them. Due to ankle pain, Radoslav missed many matches. On June 21, 2006, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he was given the nickname Nestea. He was transferred to the Indiana Pacers on July 9, 2008, but returned to the Raptors on July 30, 2009.
