Punjab govt to announce an unexpected public holiday on March 11, 2023

Lahore – The Punjab government will declare a public holiday in Lahore on 11 March 2023, to mark the annual Urs Mubarak feast of the Sufi saint Shah Hussain, also known as Madhu Madhu Lal Hussain. According to the announcement made by the General Administration and Services Department of the Punjab government, the holiday will be celebrated at the district level, including all subordinate offices located in Lahore district.

This announcement is expected to facilitate devotees and followers of the venerable saint to participate in the celebrations and pay homage to his teachings and philosophies. Urs is an important event in Lahore’s cultural and religious calendar, attracting a large number of visitors from all over the country and abroad.
