Property Manager Julie Seed dies in stabbing at Plympton in Adelaide

A ‘random’ and horrifying incident unfolded in the Plympton neighborhood of Adelaide as a man entered a real estate office, resulting in the stabbing of two women. The tragedy claimed the life of property manager Julie Seed, 38, and left another woman in her forties hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 3.40 p.m. on Wednesday, a man, allegedly armed with a knife and a hammer, entered the REAL Estate Agents Group office on Lydia Street. The police, responding to the scene, found a male waiting outside calmly, while the two injured women remained inside.

The property manager, Julie Seed, tragically lost her life despite the efforts of paramedics and a specialized Medstar team to revive her. She was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The second woman, also in her forties, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is currently undergoing emergency surgery, fighting for her life.

The alleged perpetrator, a thirty-year-old man unknown to the victims, was taken into custody by the police. Charges of murder are anticipated against him.

Notably, the incident occurred just days after the alleged perpetrator’s release from a mental health facility. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the attack.

The Plympton community and beyond express shock and sorrow over the senseless act of violence. Authorities are providing support and counseling to those affected by the incident.

Julie Seed’s family will release her obituary and funeral arrangements at a later date. The community gathers in solidarity, mourning the loss of a valued member and offering condolences to the affected families.
