Career
Primoz Brezec began his NBA career after being selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 2000 NBA draft. Before joining the NBA, he played for Kraski Zidar and Union Olimpija. He spent three years with the Pacers before being selected in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats. During the 2004–05 season, he averaged 13.0 points and 7.4 rebounds for the Bobcats. On December 14, 2007, he and Walter Herrmann were transferred to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Nazr Mohammed.
He was assigned to the Toronto Raptors on February 21, 2008, in exchange for Juan Dixon. In 13 minutes, he scored 11 points without missing a shot, won 3 rebounds and saved 1 shot. In 2008, he left the NBA to play for Lottomatica Roma, but he quickly returned, joining the Philadelphia 76ers in August 2009. Primoz was transferred to the Milwaukee Bucks with Royal Ivey on February 18, 2010, in exchange for Jodie Meeks and Francisco Elson.
In 2010, he returned to the NBA and began playing with Krasnye Krylya. In 2011 he joined Lokomotiv Kuban, and in 2012 he joined Nizhny Novgorod. He played for two clubs in 2015, AEK Larnaca and AI Kuwait. He has been a member of AEK Larnaca in the Cypriot League since 2015 and is currently active with the team.
