Pressure Cooker, the ultimate culinary competition series, will premiere on Netflix on January 6, 2023, at 3:01 a.m. ET. This highly anticipated series will be a cross between a food show and a reality show about house stalemate. Some of the top chefs will fight for the ultimate title, just like they did with Top Chef and Master Chef. However, the Pressure Cooker has made its own twist on this issue by letting the 11 participants live together, just like Big Brother. Surprisingly, Netflix claims that this is the first show of its kind.
In Netflix’s Pressure Cooker, the chefs will not only interact, but live together.
Here’s a rundown of the upcoming show:
“In this first ever real-life home cooking competition, 11 experienced chefs must demonstrate that they possess all the necessary traits to thrive in the real culinary industry. For weeks, our group of confident chefs will be locked together in a food fortress, cooking, sleeping, and co-existing alongside their rivals.”
It continued:
“As if that wasn’t enough pressure, they’ll need a plan to balance impressing their colleagues while keeping an eye on themselves… as there’s no jury in the Pressure Cooker. The chefs judge each other. This is a high-stakes competition to find the chef’s ideal chef.”
To earn the title of “Top Chef”, the candidates will live and cook together for weeks. They will have to find a balance between earning the respect and admiration of their peers and crafting a winning strategy to keep them in the game. The chefs will be judging each other in this eight-episode arrangement. So they will decide if they want to continue casting based on their culinary ability or let them go because they are too excellent to compete.
“Since you won’t be judged by a panel of celebrity chefs, impressing your colleagues will be crucial to your success or failure in this house. You will be judged by others.”
When the participants heard this, they immediately expressed concern about what might happen next. A competitor mentioned:
“This isn’t just about the food; The sooner we understand that, the sooner we can start playing the game.”
The winner of the show will be the one who strikes the right balance between preparing beautiful meals and being exposed. Pressure cookers are manufactured by Mission Control Media, a company that specializes in the production of reality competition series. The series executive producers are veteran producers David Friedman, Dwight Smith and Michael Agbabian.
The candidates were surprised to learn the actual format of the show on first viewing. Instead of a regular presenter, a ticket printer will notify them of their work and other performance-related information. Players rate each other’s meals and choose one to be eliminated from the tournament each week. Audiences will be able to meet the participants on the Pressure Cooker, and according to some sources, chef Robbie Jester will be a contestant. On Instagram, Robbie shared a few unauthorized tidbits from the concert.
